Last Quarter Cheater
Let me tell you a story about karma and how I made $250 by reporting an Adsense cheater!
It started when I came upon a web site where some kid was blatantly breaking the rules by asking his buddies to click on his Adsense ads.
This has got to be one of my biggest pet peeves! Why do people think they can break the rules at the expense of other peoples’ AdWords budgets?
So I did what a lot of people do… I contacted Google!
I figured Google would shut this punk down immediately. Boy was I wrong!
Every time I went back to this kid’s web site the message asking his friends to click the ads were still there! This went on for a few weeks and I really started to get ticked off at the lack of response on Google’s part.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I used this software I created called “Google Sponsor Lister” (You can get it at AdsenseSchool.com) to find every sponsor who was targeting this kid’s niche.
I contacted each sponsor directly and told them there was a chance their ads were being displayed on a cheater’s site. I figured if THEY complained to Google, something would happen!
Well I guess I was right! One of the sponsors emailed me back two days later and said:
“I want to thank you for pointing out the kids clicking on my ads. I turned it over to my Google rep, and he called today to let me know Google is disabling their account. Also, he said Google is crediting me a decent amount for fraudulent clicks over the last quarter. What’s your address? I’d like to send you a little thank you gift.”
How awesome is that? I was so excited! Not because he was going to send me a “thank you gift”… but because I figured out how to get that punk’s shut down!
It’s funny how Google shut this kid down in TWO DAYS because a sponsor contacted them but when I had been trying for weeks, nothing happened. Makes you think…
Anyway… I told him he didn’t have to thank me and he definitely didn’t need to send me a gift. I was just happy to know I saved him a couple bucks and this punk got his account canceled.
He replied with the following…
“Thanks again. I actually spend several hundred thousand dollars a month on Google, so at least they responded to me quickly. Also, the rebate they gave me was fairly substantial (several thousand). I’d really like to buy you an Amazon gift certificate or an iPod or something if you’d like to tell me how to send it to you, because I don’t think I would have been proactive about this if you hadn’t contacted me. Either way, it’s great that you’re being a good samaritan.”
SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS? I thought I saved him a couple bucks at most!
I was floored when I read that because I knew Adsense cheaters hurt sponsors but I never thought it was that bad!
So I told him if he REALLY wanted to send me an iPod or an Amazon gift certificate, I wouldn’t stop him!
He ended up sending me an Amazon.com gift certificate worth $250!
Long story short… I am now a true believer in Karma!
I think this teaches us a couple important lessons…
First, telling Google about Adsense cheaters is fruitless… but informing the sponsors, and asking them to contact Google, works immediately!
And second, ripping off AdWords sponsors is big business. Don’t think for a second it’s a victimless crime!
Oh and now I’m a true believer in Karma!
Maybe you won’t make $250… but at the very least you’ll help get rid of another Adsense thief and save a business owner some money
Blogging Software
you doesn’t know
After reading this article you will know why Rob Benwell’s Blogging To The Bank (BTTB for short) is worth a review.
Blogging To The Bank 3.0 is an upgrade or addition to the previous ebook report that Rob published not so long years ago. Basically it teaches you how to make money with your blogs, and not only making money, teaches you how to become a super-affiliate, promoting other people products using your blog.
In his report, he teaches the 7 Step Blueprint to Become a Super Affiliate Using Free Blogs.
#1 Researching the Market:
This is the foundation in which you’ll learn if the market is hungry for your offer, researching using free tools like Google keywords or free Wordtracker or choosing the right keywords is essential for a successful “affiliate” blog.
I use Google Suggestor to show related keywords. It’s a software that is no longer available in the market, basically it fetches keywords in Google searches and suggest related keywords and keywords modifiers.
It’s very important and crucial in researching your niche because you want to decide if you want to crush or dominate your competition by being a research junkie. The tools and resources are free, sometimes there are paid services but you can still do away with free tools available online.
#2 Creating Your Blog
This next step is like building your house. This is where you want to place all your contents like your videos, your articles, your audios downloadable free report. Creating a blog is not difficult. You can start creating a free blog at Blogspot.com or Wordpress.com. Go there and create an account, start entering new post about the niche you are researching in step 1 and you are almost there.
If you already have an experience, you can have your own blog hosted with your own domain name such as myownwebsite.com/blog and brand yourself as the next superstar in blogging. And the most popular blogging software is Wordpress, it’s free, you can install it through your website control panel, or just upload it via FTP on to your website root directory or folder. If you are new however (or a newbie, you don’t know anything about FTP, etc) then I suggest get this newbie profit system how to start your online business from scratch.
#3 Monetizing Your Blogs
In this step, you need to learn how to place ads, banners and monetizing ideas on your blog. These are ads you’ve seen on most blogs. If you wonder how and where you can get products to promote go to Clickbank.com marketplace and search by category and enter keywords that fit about your niche blog.
You can also place Google Adsense on your blog, or Clickbank hopfeed. The possibilities of monetizing your blog is endless but do not overdo it. Sometimes, it become annoying that instead you keep your readers they will just stay away.
Hot tip: Instead of placing lots of ads on your website, focus on getting them into your list and create a special page that target them alongside the ad. That will increase clickthrough and conversion!
#4 Getting Content:
If you are lazy creating contents for your blog, you can buy private label right articles, modify them, change the synonyms of the keywords you are bidding and post them on your blog. Or, you can go to scriptlance, bid someone who can write for you for an article, it’s doesn’t cost too much maybe $2-$5 as much as $15 per article depending on your niche really.
Another way, is to let your subscribers have the right to create articles on your blog, give them incentives, whatever and you have new and fresh articles every post. Instead of them being subscribers, you let them become Editors and Authors.
#5 Blogging Tips
This step, Rob Benwell layout his tips on blogging. How to optimize your website with keywords, where and how to place keywords, linking, the whole bunch of stuff. It’s how to optimized your keywords in the search engine ranking. Also, submitting your RSS to different feeds is one way to boost your blog’s visibility.
My tip: Search your competitor, examine his blog, be a spy and as much possible dominate them by making your blog better.
#6 Getting Your Blog Seen
This step is one of the important elements of a successful blog, you need to get traffic to your blog. Without traffic, nobody will know you have something to offer. You need traffic so that people will learn about some stuff you promote to make you money.
How to get traffic? How to generate traffic to your blog?
There are many ways, some simple some complicated. Some involve money or lots of money and then some are free as you see there are various ways.
First the most effective way is write an article and submit it to article directory. And you only submit to those article directory that are high value PR sites which can drive traffic. I recommend you can start with Ezinearticles but there are still others that worth the try and get your blog rank high in Google searches.
The other method is press release, there are free press release site but also there are paid site like PRweb but it’s worth it. You can also get traffic through forums by being a forum member, it’s only a slow traffic if you do it through forum. Try going to WarriorForum and register an account. Build a reputation and you then have ways to post your blog url in the signature or offer people about what’s in your blog.
Other ways for effective traffic is Web2.0 (there’s a lot of ways how to do this and will be beyond the scoop of this article), comment posting and blackhat or grey hat methods (I won’t elaborate more on this methods because that’s another topic)
#7 Creating a Network
Here he teaches you how to interlink your blogs, once you get the hang of it you can start linking each other to form a network.
Now, that’s in his last BTTB and now that he released his BTTB version 3, he added software into the mix. Article Assistance and Blog Announce Pro
He also provided a whitehat and blackhat PDF report that shows how to get you and your blog into one of the elite. In other words, techniques how to a successful blogger using whitehat and blackhat strategies.
There’s a bonus included which is 5 niche products – wedding planning, quit smoking, golf, dog training and discusfish.
CONCLUSION, Straight From the Horses Mouth
Blogging to the bank may not be for you, if you are already earning $5K~$20K or $30K as a professional blogger because almost all of the stuff is already known to you, except only for the fact that in his whitehat and blackhat strategy report, I find it new so you can still learn from his Blogging To The Bank 3.0
If you are an experienced blogger but haven’t meet your desired income consistently, you still need to learn Rob Benwell stuff, more importantly his softwares, Article Assistance and Blog Announcer Pro and also the report – whitehat.df and blackhat.pdf. Itr’s worth that price of his $37 BTTB3.
So, I recommend it, I use it and I’m on my way bloging my way to the bank.
